The UNFPA Country Office in collaboration with the Regional Office and the Ministry of Women and Family conducted a mapping of existing policies, programs, and services in Djibouti on gender-based violence.
This mapping occurs as part of an initiative launched by the regional office for the establishment of a minimum essential package of services for the care of victims of violence based on gender, including FGM.
This mapping study highlighted the current needs of improving GBV data collection, strengthening the capacity of GBV prevention and case management staff, as well as strengthening the policy of GBV and the development of specific legal texts to GBV.
The heads of the various ministerial departments are committed to the development of sectoral action plans
