UNFPA, in partnership with the Horn of Africa Independent Research Institute (IRICA), organized the first international conference on adolescents and youth. The conference was an opportunity for several researchers to present their research work focusing on several themes, including intergenerational relations and conflicts between adolescents and parents; GBV and the protection of young people and adolescents, early marriage….etc. 45 participants, including researchers, young people from the University of Djibouti, members of parliament, representatives of other United Nations agencies, and the Government attended the conference. UNFPA Head of Office, Aicha Ibrahim, presented UNFPA new strategy for youth and adolescents.
