Amina Abdoulkader Mohamed is Head of Office of UNFPA in Djibouti. She brings more than 17 years of experience within the organization, including as a Gender and Youth Programme Officer, and has extensive experience in strategic programme leadership, policy dialogue, and the development of institutional partnerships.
Throughout her career, she has contributed to advancing gender equality, youth empowerment, sexual and reproductive health and rights, as well as the prevention of and response to gender-based violence.
Her experience is also characterized by a strong focus on the sustainable strengthening of national systems. She has notably contributed to the establishment of national coordination mechanisms, the strengthening of data systems, and the use of data to inform public policies, enhance accountability, and support sustainable results.
