On 6 July, UNFPA, in partnership with the Ministry of Women, organized a three-day training of trainers on the gender approach and community development plan management techniques for 20 regional gender offices’ focal points, with funding from the European Union. The purpose of the training was to strengthen the capacities of the representatives of the Ministry of Women to enable them cascading the training to the community agents within the community development organizations established in 52 localities. The community organizations are platforms that bring together community members to make decisions adapted to their local social, economic, and cultural context related to promoting voluntary family planning methods and the integration of family planning into the overall awareness-raising activities.
