On 10 June, UNFPA, in collaboration with the Ministry of Women and the Family, organized a workshop to strengthen the capacities of health personnel on the management of the physical and psychological consequences of FGM with funding from the European Union. 24 midwifery students were empowered to implement the protocol at the level of all health structures. A network of health professionals was established to ensure the implementation of the protocol.
