As part of the 16 Days of Activism celebration, UNFPA partnered with the Secretary of State for Sports and the Ministry of Justice to open a safe space for the women and girls detained in Gadobe prison on 8 December. The friendly space will help meet the needs of detainees, including their needs for reproductive health and protection services through conducting specialized education, sports and recreation sessions, and distributing dignity kits. More than 42 women and adolescents benefited from the initiative.
