On 31 January, UNFPA and the Ministry of Health signed the 2021 work plan addressing the priorities of the National Health Development Plan by contributing to one of its main axes: the health of the Mother and the Child. The plan will focus on strengthening the national health system, including reproductive health during and post COVID-19 through improving the quality of maternal and neonatal health care, strengthening the supply chain management system for reproductive health, implementing an essential package to deal with violence against women, including FGM, and promoting research data on health to have scientific-based evidence required for better decision-making
