Lack of menstrual hygiene products increases vulnerability during crisis

Although since January 2020, the Government of Djibouti has exempted menstrual hygiene products from all taxes, economic difficulties and restrictions in movement generated by COVID19 have made their accessibility difficult for many of the most vulnerable girls and women.

UNFPA in collaboration with the National Union of Djiboutian Women distributed kits containing menstrual hygiene products to 2,000 girls and women living in poor neighborhoods of Djibouti-Ville.
