UNFPA in collaboration with ADEPF has set up a network of men and boys to fight against FGM, on August 26, 2019.
The purpose of this network is to raise the awareness of men and boys in the decision-making and within the family concerning this harmful practice that is FGM.
The members of this network will be trained in sexual and reproductive health and reproductive rights in connection with FGM.
This network consists of 20 men and boys from various backgrounds such as journalists, teachers, administrators, and students from the University of Djibouti.
The creation of this network is part of an innovative approach that is to change social behaviors while involving men and boys in making decisions about the health of their daughters and sisters.
