UNFPA contributed to a one-month health symposium that was launched on 18 May. During the event, the Ministry of Health, partners, and civil society made an in-depth diagnosis of the health sector, which was, among other things, strongly impacted by Covid-19. It is planned to conduct public meetings, including in rural areas, to seek lasting and inclusive solutions to the Djiboutian health system. The outcomes of the symposium will be incorporated to update the National Health Development Plan and feed into the numerous reforms underway.
