As part of the celebration of the National Women's Week from March 10 to 18, 2019, the Ministry of Women and Family and the National Union of Djiboutian Women in partnership with UNFPA organized a workshop for the restitution of a study on March 12, 2019.

The purpose of this workshop was to present the evolution of the situation of Djiboutian women from 2000 to 2018, the current situation of women's access to credit, and the representation of women in the Public Service and in particular access to employability.

This workshop saw the participation of civil society, several senior executives, and those of the private sector as well as the gender focal points of the various ministerial departments.

This study, which measured the progress made in gender policies in Djibouti, will enable all actors mobilized for the development of Djiboutian women to have analytical information to improve identification, planning, and programming actions to be taken to improve the situation of Djiboutian women.

Finally, these studies made it possible to obtain disaggregated data by sex in the different sectors, while analyzing the causes and consequences of identified gender disparities.
