UNFPA Djibouti, in partnership with the National Coalition against Gender-Based Violence, has launched the implementation of the essential package for GBV services in the health sector at Balbala Hospital under the leadership of the Minister of Women and the vice –president of the National Union of Djibouti Women.
Balbala Hospital is one of the first structure in which the guidelines of ESP-GBV are established in the pilot phase in order to meet the urgent needs in terms of management of GBV cases referred to the hospital.
The medical staff of social service benefitted from a series of training on clinical care and psychosocial support in order to ensure quality services to GBV survivors.
