As part of the improvement of services related to the care of victims on gender-based violence, 25 social workers were trained on the use of the essential package of services (ESP) on GBV in 3 and 4 May 2019.
The purpose of this training was to build the capacity of VBG / FGM social workers from health, justice, PSC, police, gendarmerie and social services to ensure a coordinated and quality response to the needs of victim’s sexual violence, including victims of female genital mutilation.
In addition, facilitate the networking of the different sectors involved and participate in the VGF and FGM reference system.
This group of social workers will serve as a connection between the different services and will ensure effective national coverage regardless of the point of entry of the victim.
