On 10 January, UNFPA supported the Ministry of Economy and Finance in organizing a round table for donors to mobilize necessary funds in preparation for the 3rd General Census of Population and Housing scheduled in 2023. The aim of the event was to advocate for the census and appeal for a financial contribution of international, multilateral, and bilateral partners. New information and communication technologies (ICT) and geospatial technologies will be used in the 3rd census for both census cartography and population counts. Therefore it will require significant human, material, and financial resources.
