On 6 December, UNFPA in partnership with the National Human Rights Commission organized a consultation workshop to launch the Men's Alliance for the Abandonment of FGM. The workshop brought together 30 influential members of civil society, parliamentarians, directors, doctors, and members of the national human rights commission. Members of the alliance are committed to mobilize men against violence against women and girls, including FGM.
