UNFPA, in partnership with the Ministry of Women, launched a film series on Youtube developed by a young Djiboutian influencer during the month of Ramadan. The initiative is part of a mass awareness campaign targeting youth to encourage the full abandonment of female genital mutilation (FGM) in the country. The broadcast of the first episode started on 4 April twice a week receiving more than 300K views on Youtube for three weeks. To maximize the campaign's impact and reach, the initiative will include more young social media influencers to help mobilize young people against FGM.
